Phyllis Bare, RHIT, CCS

Phyllis a Registered Health Information Technician has worked in the inpatient coding field since 1985.  In addition, she holds the distinction of surviving and passing the first Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) exam in 1992.  Phyllis began working at Medical Audit Resource Services, Inc. in 1996, performing DRG review.  Phyllis has experienced the growth of MARSI over the years.  She partners with Dr. Husty in assisting clients in preparation of responses to DRG validation claims denials.  She has prepared requests for coding advice from Coding Clinic (over 100 since 1998).  In January, 2009, Phyllis was promoted to Inpatient Coding Supervisor, and now partners with Grant Van Dyke in supervision of Inpatient DRG review.
