Physician Queries = Physician Training
We train your physicians, initially either face-to-face or through media. If you have coding staff, we do the same. Then we begin auditing records. These reviews generate specific findings and also, queries for the physicians which are sent back to the office for the physicians to address. We supply easy to understand questions but also provide a physician help line.
Producing Positive Change in Physician Documentation
MARSI currently reviews more than 110,000 records per year. We are capable of providing a 100% chart review but also have a process for reviewing a significant sampling. That sample will produce a positive change in physician documentation on all of a physician’s encounters.
Financially, the return on investment is so large that some clients request a 100% chart review. It is generally a large investment, but with significant rewards. Other clients contract for a smaller sample with lower overall return, but for a smaller investment. Our contracts allow for an escalation of the sample size as a return on investment is realized.
